What is the best credit card for a college student?

Is a college student credit card any different than the ones my parents apply for? If so what’s the difference.
What is the best credit card company to get my credit card at? I will be sure to pay it off.

Check to see if your school has a credit union on campus or a bank that caters specifically to students. The card will generally be more lenient in granting credit but will also have lower credit limits. They understand that you are starting out and will work with you.

I have this card and it has great benefits, If you have credit history apply for it if you don’t apply for another card first, because this card will most likely deny you if you don’t have any history.

Student cards are more likely to give you a credit card as a young adult with a limited credit history.

Either the Citi MTVu or the Citi FOrward
If you have fairly new or non-existent credit history I would go with the mtvU since as a student card it is easier to get accepted to. They both have the exact same perks, 5 thank you points for books, movies, restaurants, etc. http://www.credit-cards-resource.com/citi/mtv/

I know you can get $100 in giftcards just for signing up for the Forward though through here: http://www.offers.com/citi/forward-r/ Which might make that one more appealing.

Pay your bill in full every month and you can ignore and interest amounts. Also Visa/MC are more accepted than Discover.
