What credit card would best fit my needs?

I am a student in college, and I also operate a small business. I need a credit card to make small purchases for my business, usually nothing over $200 at a time. I want something with a low interest rate, but when it comes to credit card offers, I don't know which is the best comparatively. What credit card would best fit my needs?

  1. If you pay off your balance every single month, go for a card with no annual fee and a cash back rebate of at least 1%. Ignore the interest rate because you aren't paying interest if you pay off each month.

If you carry a balance, interest rate is the only factor. The rebate "points" won't add up to squat as most of those are at a cash equivalent of a pitiful one fourth of one percent or LESS. Interest rate, interest rate, interest rate is all that matters if you carry a balance.

  4. I would not apply for a business card; you need years of established credit and a very good credit score. You could get a student card. I would recommend looking at Capital One because they offer credit cards for students, fair credit, and cards for limited credit history. Their interest rates are fair and some cards have no annual fees. The cards that charge annual fees are the reward programs. If you are only charging a couple hundred dollars a month you might want to look at the Standard card. It has no annual fee. I don't know your credit level, but they have card offers for good credit as well. I think this is a good start for you in your research. I hope this answered your question. http://www.creditfast.com
