What do I need to apply for a visa credit card?

I'm currently employed. I only have a savings account, but I don't have a checking account yet. I want to apply for a credit card at my local bank, but i don't know what I'm going to have to know and need first. I want to be prepared. Thanks for the answers.

You will need to fill out an application. You will usually need at least your id and possibly also your social security card. You also should bring a pay stub. It is pretty easy to get a credit card, but make sure you use it responsibly.

  1. Your application will be declined if you don't have a house or at least a car. (Paid in full)

    I suggest you to apply at Capital One for a Limited Credit History Platinum Credit Card.

    Apply only for a $300.00 Credit Line to increase your chances.
